Hey ladies! This is my first post to this group I'm still semi new to cafemom but I was wondering if any of you guys have tried doing foil highlites at home and how it turned out etc. I went to the salon today to check prices and they were pretty rude and way to expensive (at a cheaper salon). So any suggestions or stories would be appreciated. Thank you!

I think it's best to have it done at a salon unless you have some sort of training (and help from a friend). Lots of things can go wrong, the color, color bleeding, not getting close enough to the root, not toning when the color needs to be toned... A lot of home jobs end up in the salon anyway. I learned this lesson the hard way a few too many times.
