after reading tht blog about Sinful Colors stealing the blogger's photo and using it in a published pamphlet... I'm not always very good about giving credit or a link back to places I find pix. I need to be better about that. I can truthfully say I've never posted a pic and called it my own when it wasn't, but I need to be better about giving credit. I'll be better from now on!
Thats what I was thinking .... like you really thought you would get away with that...shame
Quoting ae86mommy:
Good for you! I still can't believe they openly did something so shady. Like did they really think nobody would speak up?
I am pretty obsessive about photos. I used to make tags a lot and the copyright rules with tags is very strict. Once I got into photography I got a whole new respect for crediting photos. I sure know if someone used one of my photos I would be livid if they did it without permission, or giving me credit. It seriously sickens me what sinful colors has done. It is not like they can't afford to have a model do this for them. Thinking that you can steal someone else's work and claim it as your own just because you are a big company pisses me off to no end. Ok...I will stop ranting lol.
it makes you wonder if they stole pix of models and hands, since the nails are just photoshopped on, ya know? is ANY of it theirs? Not to mention, the nail images are different products, brands and techniques! It's all just awful.
Like I said, I've never re-posted a pic and said "I did this" or "this is my hand/nails/hair/eyes/etc" but most bloggers and people who share their pix simply want credit and I am not always 100% with that, and for that I'm sorry. That's why I like watermarks, it says "poshaholic.com" or whatever right ON the pic. But Sinful washed out the watermarks too, obviously. Just SHAMFUL and SINFUL is certainly a fitting name!
