Tips for thin hair

I'm curious about something. I have extremely thin hair that breaks easily. I try to go every other day without washing it but it gets so greasy. My stylist told me to quit washing it every day and it will cut back on breakage.

Does anyone here have thin hair? Do you wash it every day? If not, how do you keep it from getting greasy looking?

I have thin and fine hair. I washed it everyday for years. But recently I started washing it with a sulfate free shampoo. Then I started washing every other day. Now I'm up to washing it 2-3 times a week. Dry shampoo is my new BFF.

I can only help with the greasy hair because mine can look like i havent washed it in a month after a shower. I use Prell shampoo. It works great!! I have used it for 13years now...when i first started i used it every time. Now i do up to twice a week or when my hair feels gross.

Sometimes it takes a few weeks for the scalp to react to change, but it can also be hormonal. My friend's scalp changed and her hair became greasy if she didn't shampoo every day when she was in full perimenopause then menopause.

Shampoo frequency should not cause hair breakage?

I started using a tea tree oil shampoo which would leave it looking for clean for 3 days
