I guess I'm older, lol, my daughter sometimes calls me "old lady". She's 22 so I suppose 40 seems old to her.

I get called that too! :)  I'm 48.  It doesn't really matter much, but I was just wondering if there were any mommies in here not young enough to be my child....In my circle of friends, we all had our children really young, and then when my 2 were teens I had another baby, so with him I always seem to have problems finding mommies my own age....

Me too. Did I mention that I have a 7yo son? My dd was 15 when he was born, he was quite a shock, lol.

My husband snapped this pic on a recent trip to Mt Rainier. Do I need to specify that I'm in the middle? Lol :)

My youngest is 15 and was born when my oldest was 17, so I guess I qualify.

Cool! Ok, 2 questions. Were they both unschooled? Do they have a good relationship?

They do have a good relationship in spite of the age difference. My oldest was home-schooled for the first few grades, but at that point we didn't feel we had the "luxury" of having just one wage earner so I went to work. He ended up taking a high school equivalency exam since he was never a fan of school. In retrospect, I wish I had been able to unschool him as well, especially since it gives the opportunity to develop a variety of outside interests.

I have a preteen but I am not old. I am still under 40. I have been homeschooling for 7 years. We started out very traditional. I am not even sure we currently unschool. Is it possible to almost unschool? LOL
