Do you take 'time off' for the holidays? lol, time off from what?

Will you be travelling? NOOOOO!!

Do you make decorations? Yes

What's your oldest decoration? a clown ornament that was given to me in 1975 (I think)

What's for dinner? ham, candied yams, weird salad...those are the ALWAYS foods, lol, I'm not sure what else I'll make.

Do you go to movies over the holidays? yes

Have you ever seen a live ballet? yes, but my son hasn't. I'm debating about the Nutcracker.

Do your kids participate in any holiday concerts or performances? My dd did, but my son hasn't yet.

What kinds of outdoor traditions do you have? Zoo lights, Santa Train, sometimes we try to go to a little Bavarian village east of us, but my husband hates driving in the snow, lol.

What's your favourite holiday movie? Miracle on 34th street. Only the Maureen O'Hara, Natalie Wood version.

Do you take 'time off' for the holidays? We set aside some of the usual scheduled stuff to make room for the crazy holiday stuff...

Will you be travelling? Nope.

Do you make decorations? Not these days... we have, thought

What's your oldest decoration? A little pair of Masi warrior children that were my grandmothers (our politically-incorrect decorations :D)

What's for dinner? Turkey with the usual stuff...

Do you go to movies over the holidays? Not usually.

Have you ever seen a live ballet? Yes, but nothing seasonal, the price of the Nutcracker tickets make my head hurt.

Do your kids participate in any holiday concerts or performances? Not since they quit choir, about 12 years ago...

What kinds of outdoor traditions do you have? Walking the neighbourhood on dry evenings to look at the lights.

What's your favourite holiday movie? Muppet Christmas Carol --I often watch it in July :D

I'm with you on the price of The Nutcracker. Good grief! I don't want to spend that much unless I know for certain my son will absolutely love it :/

Correction: I have been there... we did a bus tour to Disneyland when I was 13, and I never remembered the name of that town!

It was on the way down. We also stopped at San Juan Capistrano... and somewhere else I can't actually remember anymore :D

The trip home was a straight shot, all the way back in a single day, I think...
