America's Favorite Fast Food Restaurants Are So Un-American!
There's nothing quite as American as fast food -- quick and easily accessible calorie-laden meals served with a giant bucket of soda to wash it all down. But a new survey of customers' top fast food restaurants revealed something surprising about our fast food preferences: Americans' favorite restaurants are decidedly un-American! See for yourself ...
According to a survey by Sandelman & Associates, our top three favorite limited-service chains are: Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, and Chipotle. You'd be hard-pressed to argue against that impressive list of crowd favorites: There are some pretty darn tasty chicken sandwiches, gourmet sandwiches/salads, and burritos being served up at those joints respectively. But, there is something noticeable -- and dare I say alarming -- missing from this list ...
Burgers! Where oh where are all the burgers? Big, meaty, juicy burgers piled high on toasted buns with all the fixings that barely fit in your mouth served with a pile of crispy, salty fries ... now THAT is what the American fast food experience is all about. Yet, there are only two burger places on the entire Top 10 list, and the first one, Five Guys, is all the way down at #5.
Now, it's all well and good to see other foods like fried chicken and carnitas bowls getting the attention and acclaim they deserve. But let's not forget our roots, people! If we're not careful to give the burger the respect it commands, who knows? The burger restaurants could fall right off this list. And then where will we be -- eating crappy burgers? I don't even want to think about it.

I'm surprised that starbucks is #8, also, we don't have half of those around here. It's an odd list.
we hardly ever eat fast food, sometimes we may order in pizza hut because I like their wings, from the list I only like Whataburger but since we moved I no longer live by one, I am surprised subway and kfc did not make the list, they would make mine
