make it illegal to buy a soda in a restraunt and other type of fast food places to get a soda above 12 oz i think it is taking it to far if they get that they will tell you what you should eat.

I think resources could be better used elsewhere.

I am just pasting the reply I made to a similar question....

I do drink it when I want to.  When I do I get the biggest size available.  First  because it is the best value, second because I am usually sharing it, three because I only ave a few a week and finally because I want too.

As for NY gov and anyone else banning it they need to worry about important things like employment, healthcare, education and crime and keep their noses out of my dinner plate AND my drink cup.

While I don't necessarily agree with it, it is their way of improving healthcare. Our nation ranks the highest in heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, all kinda of things we shouldn't be proud of.

That's just a waste of time since you can get free refills anyways.

my dad mentioned this to me.  I think it's going to far to infringe on others rights.  If someone doesn't care about their health let them have it but they should sign a waiver saying by choosing a larger item they can't have free health care
