(Reuters) - Rodney King, whose police brutality case in 1991 led to deadly riots in Los Angeles, was found dead in a swimming pool on Sunday in Rialto, California, police told CNN.

King, 47, whose beating at the hands of Los Angeles police was captured on video by a bystander, was discovered by his fiancé, Rialto police Captain Randy Deanda told CNN. There were immediate signs of foul play.

There are signs of foul play? I thought that he drowned while drinking.

I wonder if that's a misprint,I thought other articles said there were no immediate signs of foul play.

That is really sad. I had just moved to Vegas when the riots started. My mom was not to far from where the riots were and I was scared to death. It really is sad that he passed

so sad I remember the riots I lived not to far from there and my dad worked as a delivery driver that had all of his stops in that area he was told by his boss to do what he had to do to keep himself safe. I was so scared for him. He held his conceled wepons permit for as long as I could remember and he carried his gun with him while at work so it made us feel better but still.
