Drug Testing Welfare Recipients

Some say this is unconstitutional, some say its 'our money' so we should be spending it more wisely on people who 'really' need it

I dont agree with it, I think the money spent to drug test could be put to better use

Well three states are starting to take the lead in drug testing welfare recipients, I've seen this debate a lot on both cm and fb lately.

I don't agree with mandatory testing at all. I think it's a violation of Constitutional rights- needing financial help is not a crime and you have a right to have a body of evidence presented before you are subjected to something like a drug test.

I also think it's a huge waste of money, and buying into a stereotype. It would be better for them to actually follow up on fraud reports. As of now, at least in PA, they really don't.
