that is interesting! I wonder if it was preference or religion or something.

I actually cried a little bit when I heard of his passing; that's unusual for me, since I didn't even know him (really). I have such great memories that include him, though. My dad loved his comedy records, and when he got one for Christmas one year we all sat together by the tree and listened to it.
He will be missed.

May he rest in peace. He was such an American icon. We all watched reruns of his show.
