It's almost never right, I swear.
I was so sick when I first moved here. Within a week, I couldn't keep food down. I wound up having to seek medical care on a Sunday, meaning the only place available was either the ER or urgent care. Not wanting to tie up valuable resources, I found an urgent care clinic covered under my insurance.
Fast forward a month and a half, and I receive two things: a refund check from my insurance for overpayment of deductable to said urgent care, and a bill from the urgent care for an extra $336.
something ain't right there, kwim?
I called the urgent care facility. They stood by their billing. So I called my insurance company, only to find that the urgent care facility had falsified their claim by filing as a regular doctor's office instead of an urgent care facility. They didn't have a right to the breakdown of services and bill they had sent me.
This ought to be interesting.
