tv...maybe 5 to 8 hours depending on movie or shows.
video games....gave it a rest and doing word search and fill ins in book form
computer ....maybe 2 hrs ...not straight time.
phone.....0 only for emergencies
I work using the computer, so it's long hours in front of it each day though I do try to get away from time to time when I can.
TV - a couple of hours every couple of days at most.
Computer games - not into that right now as I'm so busy.
I do read a lot on my Nook - about 2 hours a day on average.
As for smartphones - I'm always checking for emails that are coming in (and replying to them), and also go to FB and Twitter to look at the news. What can I say - when you have a long commute that is filled with traffic jams and you need to get things done you check the Blackberry!

Is that the total for one day? Each day ?

Understand with the checking emails on phone & such!
Actually I think it's wonderful we can do that now.
Sounds like you spend many hours a day then on screen doing these things.
Least your *excuse* is for work :)

Yes, at least I have work as an excuse LOL!
Yep, I agree that it's great to have a smartphone. It means that whilst I was traveling I could keep apace with the office. Through Whatsapp and Blackberry Messenger, I was also able to keep in touch with my assistants and partners, too as well as with my brother and my nephew. I had brought my laptop in case I needed it, but actually I could have gone without. Perhaps if or when I get an iPad or a Samsung Galaxy Tab, I'll be able to leave the laptop home when traveling just for a few days like that.

It is very helpful,
I find when I travel I still being my laptop instead of my ipad.
I think because I am afraid it is going to get stolen
While of course that could happen to my laptop .. it is old., LOL
Modern technology these days is quite cool in that it allows up to stay in touch & caught up :)

I'm going to really skew your research here, because my screen time is well over 10 hours a day. Almost 9 of those are because I am at work. Everything is done on the computer (tablet size).
Then I use it for Castleville, Facebook, research and of course here.

LOL .. well *work* is different <g>
So your own play time is not much then ?

Quoting CoeyG:I voted "Other" because some people might say too much. But then again some people aren't in my shoes...or chair LOL
