Monday morning I woke up to find my O2 machine had bit the dust.  So i had to scramble to try and get a rental at least until Medicare kicks in.  I called the doctor because one needs a presscription for O2 and I was told that the PA wanted me to come in first.  I asked why, that I hadn't had any major issues and I needed O2 ASAP because I had very few portables left.  Now remember this is the PA who wanted me to come in, not the doctor.  

So I scramble around getting ready, get the dogs out for their first potty of the day, toss all of my tanks into the car because I didn't know how long I would have to be in the waiting room before the doctor saw me and wrote out the script  Hauled all four of the small tanks on my back and the large tank in the cart into the office, paid my $90 (that I really couldn't afford) for the visit (no health insurance) and sat down to wait, about 45 minutes later the aide took me to be weighed and mesured...I lost 5 pounds yippiee.  

Aide takes me to the room, does the blood pressure, temperature thing...all good and of course the "What are you here for" and the "doctor will be in shortly".  Doctor came in we chatted for a couple of minutes while she looked over my chart, said I seemed to be adapting well to the O2 didn't know I was on my own now with Shannon in Texas, asked about help I said I couldn't afford it, no insurance she said okay, asked about Medicare, she said to let them know in October they would start sett ing me jp with services like a Home aid to come in once a week and possibly a script to purchase my own machine as well as needed referrals to Pulmonary specialists and Rheumy.  Then she saw why I was there  "Why didn't you just call in?"  She asked, "I did" I responded and told her what the PA said...So she listened to my heart, not bad, not perfect but not bad, listened to my lungs a little conjestion but heart and lungs could be stress related at that moment...She said she would have the script called in and gave me a copy as well and that I should have the machine by that afternoon.

I left and I came home to check mail and let dogs out and before I left again I called the oxygen company.  Nope no fax, no call from doctor's office.  I spoke with the franchise owner of the company and he said if I could come out and get it he had one available that way I also wouldn't have  to pay the delivery and set up fee the company charges.  I was there in an hour with the prescription the doctor gave me and found out that they still hadn't called it in.  Picked up the new machine and home I went.  I got it inside and set up and was exhasuasted by the time I got home and when everything was done I sat in a cool shower for over an hour LOL...'

Oh and guess what?  The PA finally called in my script at 5:30 last evening.  By 5:30, I had the tank set up and running and was watching television...I called the doctor's office this morning to complain.  In October I am also going to look for another doctor, one closer to home.

what a day you had & I can bet how exhausting that must have been.
Glad you got what you needed but what a PITA
I totally agree .. time for you to find a new doctor!
Sheesh that was awful she did that & made you wait so long regardles ::shaking head::

 So far the week had been s.o.s., different week.  Went back to work on Monday after my little mini vacation.  I get so tired of never knowing what I am going to walk into at work.  Gets tiring.  Must learn to let go of things I cannot control.  Not be pulled in by the drama.  And to accept that others don't give a sh** about anyone else!  Let alone stand up for something that is very wrong.  No, no one did me wrong personally.  Too long of a story and need to let it go anyway before it takes up more of my energy and starts to settle into my body!!!  NO, no, no!!!  LOL

Ahhh....I have a new montra....."no, no, no...just let it go!"

Back to SOS here. Have some cleaning and purging to do in the kids rooms, especially the older ones. Need to take stock of clothes and such for school.

 Im going to go to a Dermatologist on Thursday and have him look at some brown spots on my face and make sure they are not cancerous and hopefully I can get him to freeze them off even if they arnt and then Im going to dinner with DD21.  On Friday I am going to dinner and movie with co-workers.  We do this once a month.  Tonight I need to work on my business and close up for Month End.
