Famous authors living in the area you live? I read Catherine Coulter's books and Julliet Blackwell's books and enjoy them . I found out in the back covers of the books that both authors live in the SF Bay Area.

There are a few authors in my neighbourhood, but they tend to be in academia so the books or articles are mostly scholarly or they write op-eds like my mother. In my city - yes. I live in the capital, so a lot of writers are based here.

I did not know it myself until I looked at the back covers of the books. It was a nice surprise.
