Coffee Scrub and Mask

1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon finely ground coffee

Combine the two ingredients in a small bowl/cup.  Apply liberally to face, avoiding the eyes.  Leave on for a minimum of 15 minutes, but up to an hour.

Rinse off.  I used a soft wash cloth.  The recipe makes plenty.

Here is why this is a good thing:
Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants that protects our skin against free radicals that damage and age us.
Coffee applied to the skin increases the production of collagen and elastin and coffee helps reverse the damage of UV rays.

Now....Have I used this?  Yes.  I like it and will continue to use it.

Sounds nice :) I've got a full skin care regimen from my mom that I'm supposed to be using, but I seem to be forgetting a lot.

Idk about the coffee, but my oldest dd says coconut oil makes her skin so soft.

The coffee acts as a very healthy exfoliant in this recipe.  I agree with your dd.

They are very common items in my pantry as well.  ;)  Organic is even better.
