Steak Alfredo:

1-2 steaks cooked to preferred doneness, cut up into bite size pieces
1 8oz package of cream cheese softened
1 pint half & half
1/4 cup butter melted
2 tsps flour
Garlic powder (or fresh) to taste
Salt to taste
1-2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese

In pan, melt butter, add garlic & salt. Add cream cheese, and half & half. Mix thoroughly. Add flour. When mixed thoroughly, remove from heat, add cheese, cover & let sit 10 min. After 10 min, uncover & stir, mix in steak pieces, pour over cooked noodles.

Honestly the best Alfredo sauce I have ever tasted!!

My recipe for alfredo sauce is VERY similar, but I've never had it with steak!

We bought our half of a cow and we have a bunch of shoulder roasts, arm roasts, and some sirloin tip roasts. I was wanting to make them with like a tomato sauce. Anybody have any suggestions? Maybe like a can of stewed tomatoes and some seasonings over it either in the crock pot or one of those roasting bags? Anybody have a recipe for that?

The Hungarian beef roast recipe I posted in this post is GREAT!

You could also add salsa, then sour cream just as it's done.

I made an Italian roast a week or so ago by adding fire roasted diced tomatoes and a mix of Italian seasoning, bit of basil, and garlic salt.

How about topping it with BBQ sauce?

I make my own taco seasoning and taco sauce and use evaporated milk or even plain ol' milk instead of heavy cream.

From www.food.com

Low Carb Taco Bake

Crust:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. taco seasoning
  • 8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded (I will just use a handful)

Beat the cream cheese and eggs until smooth.  Add the cream and seasoning.  Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish and sprinkle cheese over the bottom.  Pour the egg mixture as evenly as possible.  Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.  Let stand 5 minutes before adding topping.

Topping:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 tsp. taco seasoning
  • 1/4 c. tomato sauce
  • 4 oz. choped green chilies (I make this optional)
  • 8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded (I used the rest of the bag after using 1 handful for the crust)
  • Additional toppings:  black olives, salsa, lettuce, diced fresh tomato, sour cream, etc.

Brown the hamburger, drain fat.  Stir in the seasoning, tomato sauce, and chilies.  Spread over the crust.  Top with cheese.  Reduce oven to 350 degrees, bake another 20 minutes or so until bubbly.  Serve with additional toppings of your choice.

Pizza Burgers

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
  • Monterey jack, cheddar, or colby jack cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns (toasted if desired)

Reserve 1/2 c. tomato sauce.  Mix ground beef, rest of tomato sauce, bread crumbs, oregano, and salt together.  Form 6 patties.  Place in a microwave safe roasting rack or in a microwave safe glass dish.  Spoon rest of tomato sauce on top of patties.  Cook on 100% power for 5 minutes in microwave oven.   Rotate dish 1/2 turn.  Cook for another 4 to 7 minutes, until edges of patties are firm and patties are browned.  Top with cheese.  Cook another minute or until cheese is melted.  Serve on buns.

After cooking (look at all the grease!)
