Paleo/primal questions or comments (do not put in the recipes post, please)

Almost 1/2 of the replies in the original paleo/primal recipes post were comments or questions.  In an effort to keep the recipes posts "clean" and easier to search through, I created this post for you to ask questions or leave comments on recipes.  If you post a comment or question in the recipes post, I'll move it here.

Thanks !

I made some with flax seed and almond meal.  It was a heavy bread.

I find it easier to just avoid making breads.  I will make pancakes and waffles, but bread just isn't appetizing any more.

Say  a resipe calls for wheat could you replace cup for cup with coconut flour. I am trying to transition my family. They eat a crazy amount of bread.

It is, but you don't use it like you would wheat flour.  I use 1/3 c. to make a batch of 9 banana pancakes, for example.  I bought 4 lb. of coconut flour last October and I'm JUST getting to the last cup in the bag.
