Meal plan - Autumn Pork Roast Dinner for 8
Herbed pork roast - Cook about 1 hour before dinner. Cover gravy and roast and keep warm.
Cheese Scalloped Potatoes - Can be prepared ahead of time and reheated while carving pork roast.
Tossed green salad with croutons - mix an hour or two ahead of time except for dressing; add dressing before serving.
Glazed carrots - can be prepared ahead of time and reheated before serving.
Crumb top Apple pie - Prepare day before dinner, can reheat in microwave before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
Meal plan - Weekend breakfast
Juice or coffee
Asparagus & Ham Strata - Prepare the night before so it can chill the required 8 hours.
Blueberry coffeecake - Prepare the day before except for glaze and cover tightly. Add glaze just before serving.
Sliced fruit (melon, grapes, peaches, pears)

Zucchini soup topped with croutons
Tossed spinach salad with mushrooms & Italian dressing
Spumoni Ice Cream
Make brownies and the beef-wine spaghetti sauce the day before. Refrigerate the sauce.
The day of the dinner, a few hours ahead of time: you can make the zucchini soup ; cover and refrigerate. Assemble the garlic bread ahead of time, wrap in plastic wrap; do not microwave. Cook 1 lb. spaghetti, drain. Toss with 2 Tbsp. margarine, cover tightly and set in refrigerator.

minutes before dinner: heat spaghetti sauce covered on high for 5
minutes; stir. Heat another 7 to 9 minutes. Heat spaghetti covered on
high until hot, 3 to 4 minutes.
10 minutes before dinner: heat zucchini soup, covered, on high until hot, about 6 to 8 minutes, stir. Pour into bowls or cups, top with croutons and serve.
5 minutes before dinner: Unwrap one half loaf of garlic bread and microwave as directed in recipe. Repeat with second half of loaf.
Serve dinner!
Meal plan - Soup Supper for Four
Cauliflower Pepper Soup - prepare an hour before dinner except for adding wine, green pepper, and paprika. Do that about 15 minutes before dinner.
Tomato Cottage cheese salads
(remove stems from firm tomatoes and cut into 8ths almost all the way
through from stem to blossom end. Set on lettuce leaves and fill with a
scoop of cottage cheese. Top with a sprig of parsley if desired)
Prepare these an hour ahead of time and refrigerate
Brown bread with margarine or cream cheese spread. Can be made the day before. Slice the day of dinner, cover with plastic wrap.
Butterscotch Apple Sundaes - Make the day of the dinner, cover tightly and let cool. Reheat in microwave before serving over ice cream.
Meal Plan - Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve buffet
Hawaiian Pizza Dip with bagel chips
Fresh vegetable tray with dip
Clam Chowder, Minestrone, or French Onion soup
Punch and/or Coffee
THE DAY BEFORE:
Make the basic meatballs needed for the recipes.
Make the soup.
Make the Pineapple Upside Down cake
Make the Fudge
AN HOUR BEFORE SERVING:
Add the sauces to the meatballs in separate dishes.
Cut the fudge into serving pieces and put onto serving plate.
Cut the cake into serving pieces.
30 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING:
Start coffee brewing.
Make Cheese Scalloped potatoes
Make the Hawaiian Pizza Dip
Heat the meatballs in sauce
Serve!
Meal Plan - Semi Traditional Christmas Dinner
Fully cooked ham (sliced & heated in microwave)
Dinner rolls (purchased or homemade)
Christmas Pudding and/or Cranberry Cheesecake pie
THE DAY BEFORE:
Prepare Party Mix, Christmas Pudding, and/or Cranberry Cheesecake Pie.
Mix wine and apple juice for Wassail, mix together spices and keep separate until just before heating.
Prepare sweet potato & apple casserole; cover tightly and plan to reheat just before serving.
30 MINUTES BEFORE DINNER:
Add spices to Wassail and microwave as directed. Serve with Party Mix for appetizers.
20 MINUTES BEFORE UNTIL YOU SERVE DINNER:
Prepare green bean casserole as directed.
Reheat sweet potato casserole.
Heat Ham. Heat rolls for a minute or two if desired.
Start making coffee for Irish coffee.
Serve dinner.
After dinner, heat the sauce for the Christmas Pudding, if desired. Finish the Irish coffee as directed. Serve coffee with desserts.
