I have always had males. I prefer male everything:teachers, doctors, landscapers, chefs.
I don't know why. Maybe because I have always had such strong men in my life, I am just more comfortable with them.
I have had both males and females. I'm okay with either. There is a female Ob/Gyn and two males in the office I go to and it's somewhat random who I see. I'm not fussy, especially if I'm giving birth- LOL Just get the baby out, okay? LOL When I had DD1 it was the first time I had met one of the doctors. A weird time for an introduction, dontcha think? LOL
My regular doc is a female. I like her a lot. I typically just take who I get, I'm not particular about it.
My MIL told me once she had a female Gyn and she refered to my MIL's um... parts... as her vajayjay. She was totally appalled. Really? You're a professional and you can't say vagina? My MIL got a new dr. LOL I would too, that's so weird. I dont really want to have a friend poking around down there, just a doctor, thanks.

I've had both. When I was pregnant with my first child, I had a female midwife but since that resulted in a c-section, I was required to undergo a planned c-section with my second which meant I was forced to be under the care of an OB-GYN. I went to the same surgeon that did my first c-section because he was really great and reasurring.
