I am up and getting ready to head out to pick up my brother and head to the oncologist's office. Meeting Mom and Dad there... and we will all hear the results of Joe's latest PET scan.
Not necessarily asking for a miracle.. just some good news.

IT appears Joe's last round of chemo,although it knocked his socks off, has kept the cancer stagnant. The areas of concern last time,are much smaller and the larger nodules were shrunken and broken down.
THere are other areas that "lit up" but the oncologist thinks they are a false positive.
So in order to keep the progress going... Joe is going to go through another round (3 chemo txs) then be rechecked by another set of PET scan/xrays.
I asked him if he was relieved......he is being very guarded about the progress. which I can understand. Told him, heck with how aggressive it was... we will take it being stagnant as a good thing.....if that is what holds it steady and not growing, that is a positive.
HE gave me a BIG hug when I left....
I bet he gave a little sigh of relief when I left.

that is good news...if there ever was any good news where cancer is concerned...
