I replied to this in another group already, but I think you should use the lighter shade of purple that's in the comforter. Orange walls might be too much orange. You want the beds to stand out, not blend in.

I agree do the light purple, maybe orange curtains though if you want some orange up on the walls.

paint the room blue.. the light blue that i see in the room on an "accent" wall, and leave the rest white. you dont want to drown out the room in color and overkill the whole look. the beds will be the focal point. good luck!

If you use purple or orange on the walls I think it should be the palest purple or orange - almost white. Otherwise it's just going to be crazy and not conductive to sleep or study.

I agree with the light color suggestions. If you put the dark orange or purple on the walls, the room will look way too "busy"...too much going on. You need to have a focal point in the room and if you have dark walls, there would be way too much going on in the room to have one.

the walls lilac and do a motif say like a couple of circles in orange shades or buy knick knacks in shades of orange and pink or yellow and orange to contrast the lilac..

I love the comforters! Nice bright cheery colors. I always get great ideas from pottery barn kids. I think they're stuff is a bit pricey for kids rooms...but I can almost always duplicate it with things from Target. (for half the price) Try going online and looking at their bedrooms..it might give you some good inspiration. Post after pix..I'd love to see what you decided to do!

Well, we've started on the bedroom. We went a totally different route. We used pink and lime green paint. Sounds wild, but I think it's going to look good. The last coat of paint is drying right now. I'll post pics later.

To add color and decor to the walls you can get canvas panels (or stretched so you dont have to use anything to hang them with, they will hang from the wooden frame) and paint them to match the colors in the4 comforter that you dont already have up somewhere. You can get 16"x20" and sometimes 18"x24" at WalMart and even larger at hobby Lobby. Paint their initial on each one and hang over their beds. You can do smaller panels on other walls. I paint these and sell them and I do a lot of them for girls' rooms and they are really cute. And you can add boa trim for an extra punch. Cheap & easy but oh so cute! The pottery barn canvases are so $$$ and you can create your own for very little!! I hope you post pics soon.
