Introductions Please

I am Shelly, Group admin.  I have one son who is 8.  His b-day is Oct 30.  I live in Daytona Beach, Florida.  I am a full time college student working on my Bachelors in Elementary Education.  I have been a Christian for 4 years.  I have been single for 4 years.  I am a widow.  (see the share thread to find out the details).  I started this group because I am a single mom and I wanted other CHRISTIAN women to talk to about all the junk, good and bad, that comes in and out of my life.  I also wanted the opportunity to help other women that are going through things that I might know about.  Or even that other group members might know about.  I am just so excited about how quickly this group is growing.  I just hope it doesn't get so big that it feels impersonal.  Oh well.  I know God will make it what it needs to be. I am just here to serve him with this group.

My name is Jill, I have one daughter named Cadence, she is two.  Her birthday is October 19, and I have some adorable pictures of her on my profile!  I have two neices that I help raise, Danielle, who is eight and Jamie who is 4.  Danielle's birthday is July 24 and Jamie's is January 8th.  I am staying at home this summer and keeping kids, but I will go back to school August 20.  I have declared my major in Biology, and a minor in psychology.  Wish me luck!

My son's name is Elijah.  He is 6. 

We live in Southern California.  I am a second semester Senior at Christian College [meaning I graduate in Dec!!!].  My major is Psychology w/ a counseling emphasis. 

Since I believe once save...  I have been a Christian for 13yrs, but I rededicated my life and really started walking 6yrs ago May 2001, so I claim 6yrs old  young Christian (and have been single the same amount of years).

My name is Jeanine .  I am mom to Kyle-15 and Amanda 17.  I am in the middle of a divorce from a non christian man.  I work as a medical assitant for a family Practice doctor.  We live in South Carolina.   I am in school part time to get my certification for medical assistant.  We are currently on summer break.  yipee!!!

HI.  My name is Kathy and I have two little girls, Ashton 7yr and Kiely 4yr.   My husband left us about a month ago "to find himself" and I have used this time to rededicate myself to church and living a faithful life.  I am actively looking to reinvent myself and move forward with my girls.

My name is Kandy and I live in Springfield Ohio.  I attend Ginghamsburg church with my 4 year old daughter and my husband of almost 7 years.  I also have 2 step-children (18 and 20) who live nearby with their mother (whom I am very close friends with).

Hi All... I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Jen and I am from Central Illinois.  I have four children; Bethany who will be 12 next week, Gabrielle who is 9 (10 in mid Aug), Isaiah who just turned 8, and Elisha who is 4 1/2.  I have gone to church all my life (I'm 36) but asked Jesus into my heart at age 15.  My husband left us in early 2003 but our divorce was not final until Jan. of 2005.  Besides raising my children to love, honor, and obey the Lord, I also work part-time as a substitute teacher.  When I am not doing those two things I am going to school to get my teaching certificate.  Although there is no time after allll that, I do enjoy traveling, photography, and scrapbooking.

Hello all! I am new to this. I just happened to stumble onto cafemom by seeing a banner add for it on myspace. Im glad i did. My name is Debbie and i have 2 children....Brandi:15 and Bradley:9. I am a single mom, have been for almost their whole lives. I have gone to church pretty much my whole life but just this year decided it was time to dedicate myself to God and find the path he has chosen for me .  I was just recently baptized (june24th). I am looking forward to having a great christian connection with other single moms. and hopefully making some long lasting friendships along the way.

Thats me, I fell and stayed down for about 10 yrs. The lord was always there although i didn't realize it at the time.I have been saved since I can remember. i allowed the lord to pick me up about 2 yrs ago. i have been single 1yr loving it. I would like a relationship. But this is so much better than where i came from. My god is so awesome. I never knew life could be this joyful even when I'm down. But life is good and so blessed. Nice to meet every body.
