Isn't he supposed to make some noise?

I had myself all mentally prepared for this loud dog when I decided to get a bloodhound and then I get Mr Wesley.... He is soooo quiet! I've had him 3 weeks now and he very rarely makes any noise. Once in a while he will bay or bark at the cat and if I leave him outside longer than he wants to be out there he will whine a little but all in all he's just very mellow and quiet! My Rottweiler made more noise as a puppy! Does the noise come later or did I just get really lucky?

I think part of it is dependent on the individual dog, bobbie can get going sometimes but usually unless theres something going on shes quiet.

My Dixie, beagle foxhound, is very quiet until she wants your attention and she cannot get to you, wants to come inside from bathroom, or something grabs her attention. The puppies make a lot of noise right now.
