Income Inequality is what makes America a Super Power
Income Inequality is what makes America a Super Power
This comment was made by a poster in this group last night and a couple agreed
so I am asking, is Income Inequality what makes America a Super Power?
For me, what made America THE Super Power was our:
Innovation, position, resources, military strength...
In fact, Income Inequality damn near ruined out country. Slavery and slave wages for indentured servants caused the civil war. hundreds of thousands died and we were almost torn apart as a country...We are still dealing with not out the after affects, but they were in practice LONG after it was deemed illegal. Minimum Wage requirements are in place for those reasons....
Are we getting to that place again?
Yeah, I saw that nonsense!! So, now we are at the point where income disparities is now looked at as a factor in what makes the U.S. a superpower? Sometimes i wonder if people on here really believe the stuff they be saying or do they do it for shock and awe? Whoever believes this should go back to school and take a couple of course on the following:
1) Sociology of education
2) Globalization
3) American History (the real one)

You didn't answer the question
Hmm...I'd ask for clarification. I'm not sure I'm following where the person is going with that statement. In what way is income inequality one of the things that makes America a superpower?
I feel like it's a weird view to have of America..That our prosperity would depend on most of the population being close to poverty level. and to claim that is the reason we are a super power..I think some people don't know what that means

If you can't read between the lines, then I guess you would say that I did not answer the question. So that you can understand better, I'll say it in plain english - NO!! IOncome inequality is not what makes America a superpower!! Is that better?
