What does that term mean to you?  Do you think it is a good thing or a bad thing?

 It can mean many things.

Income inequality can mean two people doing the same job don't get the same salary for it.  That would be an income inequality.

Income inequality can also mean that not everyone makes the same amount of money, leading some to be richer than others.

I think the former is a bad thing, and people doing similar work with similar experience and similar education should be paid similarly, within the scope of where they live (NY doesn't get the same pay for people in Kentucky, for example, but within an area, should be equalized for the same work).

I think the latter is a good thing if it spurs people to want to work hard, get more skills, innovate, and take their future into their hands and make "more" of it.  I think it is also a natural thing.  Even in the most communistic of states there were income inequalities, with some people having more and some less.

I think it means that if you need more money, you have to sacrifice to get it.

That may mean going back to school and / or postponing marriage and/ or kids.

I have never understood why women doing the same job as a man don't deserve the same salary.  Makes zero sense to me.

And.....if that's the case, why isn't it much easier for women to get a job than a man?  If you can pay them less for the same work, shouldn't men be having a more difficult time getting work than women do?

That's because we get pregnant and want maternity leave and have kids who get sick and have to be taken care of (although I am lucky and DH splits that with me)!

I think its an awful thing. It means a variety of things, women not getting paid for the same work as men.  Being stuck in low wage jobs due to the economy not being able to provide higher wage jobs.  Working harder than others for the same or less amount of money - I'm thinking things like being a server or constructio worker making less than a CEO who shows up to sit a a desk less often than they go play golf.  Being trapped in a dead end job with now way up.

Hmm...So, for clarification...Are you saying that the construction worker should make as much as the CEO because s/he works physically harder than the CEO?
