My daily Obamaspam

Obama - Biden
Friend --

You probably don't know Janet from Accokeek, Maryland.

But you two could be having dinner with President Obama together sometime soon.

Janet was the first guest selected for the next Dinner with Barack. And we're counting down the hours until we draw the next name.

The second seat could be yours -- you'll be automatically entered when you donate $3 or whatever you can today.

Janet told us that when she donated $25 last week she was just trying to show her support for the President.

No one ever thinks they'll be picked until they are.

Take the chance. Chip in $3 or more today to be automatically entered:

Thanks,

Julianna

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but all candidates send out e-mails like this.  Nothing unique here.

How is it that the Obama campaign thinks you are a "friend" interested in donating?

I get these same fundraising emails from the Obama campaign ever since I first emailed his campaign back in 2008 regarding a piece of legislation he was supporting which I opposed.

At the time, Obama was running for President and was also my Senator (I'm from Illinois). I emailed my concerns via both his U.S. Senate website and his campaign website -- and from his campaign website, I immediately got a generic email telling me "Thank You for Supporting Barack Obama for President"  (but never heard a word back in response to the real content of my email).

I suspect others could receive these email for the same reason.

I have a screenshot of that. If your lawyers need it, let me know.
