Why Does Anyone Hope Our Pres. Will Fail?

I see post after post on here where people seem only too happy to report any failure of our President.  People actually seem happy with any mistakes that he makes.  Some of the same people talk about how much they love their countries.

If this is how you feel, please explain. I never understood this mindset.  When George W. Bush was determined the winner of the 2000 election, I was concerned about his ability to govern and sorry he had won, though I wasn't a big fan of Gore either.  But, I did hope he would prove me wrong and do very well as President.  It only benefits me for our President to do a great job.  So I was disappointed, but I can't say I crowed over his every failure and rejoiced in them.  I just had a sinking feeling about what was happening to our country, and felt very frustrated with other branches of govt. for not holding him accountable for some of his decisions.

I don't want him to fail because we fail.  However, just because people find mistakes doesn't mean we want him to fail. That is up to him not us.

No, I'm not talking about find mistakes.  Specifically, the post where people talked about rolling in laughter that Pres. Obama is respected by people in other countries disturbed me, but I've seen individual posters who are happy to share any mistake--true or imagined.

People are making up that Cheney and Bush had something to do with 9/11 is that any different.  It is sort of funny to hear he is respected.

I'm not talking about conspiracy theories that they engineered 9-11 for political gain (they did that with Iraq, but that's a different story).  I do not believe they did that.  But they did ignore reports that an attack was imminent.  That is known widely, if you think this is a fairy tale do a little research.

Why would I want him to fail?  As long as I help him, he'll help me.  I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car or paying my mortgage and if I fall behind on my bills, I can just go and get some Obama money.

Even though he said he believes in American exceptionalism, I don't believe Obama really views America as exceptional.   To him America is to blame of many of the world's ills.   I don't view America that way.

How does he blame us for the world's ills specifically?

And I don't understand this conspiracy nonsense.  If he sucks as President in your opinion, fine. But he is intentionally undermining this country?  To what gain?  To turn us over to the Muslim brotherhood I keep hearing about?

(LIMom1105) You're trying to have a discussion they can't handle that. They prefer an argument instead. I'll be more specific

There is a difference between discussion and argument. A discussion airs the       issues, but an argument alleges charges and appoints blame.

I think that many have gotten so caught up in the "Obama is and evil socialist hell bent on destroying America" meme that they have lost the ability to judge him objectively.  So they get positively giddy anytime anything looks like it might reinforce their beliefs.
