I think you can have that about most politicians in office today. Maybe Ron Paul would be the exception. Most do what their campaign contributors want. It's called pay to play or legal bribes.
Here in CA, the public employee unions control the state with these bribes. There are some Repubs, but they are so few, they can't do anything.
