I'm baffled...

I've been at CM for 6+ years... never changed my sn...

What's up with that?  I keep hearing of people changing their sn.  One moderator here left a chatterbox message telling me of her changed sn the other day.  Another post mentioned a changed sn.

Is it for hiding and coming in as a "fresh" person?  Is it because you got kicked off of CM so you are reinventing yourself?  Is it because someone had a big ol crush on you and kept following you around?

Oh.. I'll put a poll... but I would love some feedback.  This concept is strange to me.

I've never changed my name on here.  My only reason would be if I cancelled CM and left then came back and had to use another name.  I don't see that happening no time too soon though.

 Thank you, and I take you at your word that you were not using it in that way

You're welcome. I respect the wishes of those who ask that their sn be not used in a particular manner.

I don't ask because I don't care

I don't know why you specifically refer to me that way..but a few posters let it be known WHY they use it

I will use your full sn from now on....

Thank you Pema. BlondeK is fine. I have mentioned Blonde, Blondie, Kosmic or BK. In a debate forum opinions will differ, sometimes become heated. Even when my beliefs and opinions conflict with others I will never resort to using anyone's sn to insult them or as a weapon to belittle them as a few do on here. Esp when that individual has asked them to stop. I appreciate your fairness and sensitivity. Thank you.

  Great post!!  I finally "left" cafemom after watching some women accuse others of having alts while some of them themselves were using alts.

I found and "find" that so irritating.  Who wants to debate and/or argue or hear  the same  thing with the same person but that person is under a different name.. And they have the advantage..you don't because you are "you" and they have reinvented themselves..

  I have no problem with people changing their names  for "whatever" reason but stick with the one name for all groups..don't go into different groups under different alts..(imo)

When I came back on cafemom I had to choose to add 160 to Ednarooni as I couldn't get my original name back. But I'm still Ednarooni.

I've seen this.  A Mom will want feedback on her problem/situation and then not like the way the feedback is going so she'll bring another "Mom" in for support.  Big flag right there!  LOL

Enjoy your day Pema. I'm doing fine. My son is engaged and his wedding is scheduled in Dec. Lotz to do. More gardening to tend to today. I love the outdoors, the beautiful flowers and gorgeous plants. How are you? Hope life is being good to you. See ya later :}

Very well here thanks. A little tired cause I didn't sleep well. I'm finally engaged also! Wedding in May of next year at Disney World. Money is tight right now that would be my only complaint. I wanted to get my tooth fixed before the wedding but $5000 seems a bit much. I have some crowding on my lower jaw from not wearing my retainer long enough the first time around. My oldest is starting pre-school in a few days. He is super excited.

I have left the site and returned, but my screen name has always been a variation of the original.  I've not found any reason to try and hide behind a new screen name.
