The War on Unborn Women

This week, Lila Rose's indispensable Live Action released undercover video showing a young woman entering Planned Parenthood and discussing her desire to get an abortion if her prospective child will be female. The Planned Parenthood employee, ever eager to help, says she'll do her best to be of aid, encouraging the young woman to use her Medicaid to obtain an ultrasound to help determine sex of the child.

Once the tape broke, Planned Parenthood quickly canned the offending employee. But the question remains: Why? Why would Planned Parenthood see fit to throw one employee under the bus merely for acting in accordance with Planned Parenthood's own principles?

Planned Parenthood, of course, is the nation's leading advocate of abortion-on-demand — which means abortion for any reason. Don't want a female baby? Feel free to kill it. Don't like blue eyes? None of our business — your body, your choice. Want a child with higher intelligence or greater athletic ability? Well, after all, it's just like a kidney, so grab a scalpel. It's hypocritical, to say the least, for Planned Parenthood to terminate an employee for seeking to terminate a pregnancy.

In fact, Planned Parenthood's spokeswoman responded to the Live Action report by stating that while the organization wasn't fond of sex-selective abortions, its job is to make available "high quality, confidential, nonjudgmental care to all who come." So unless it's illegal to abort based on the sex of the baby, Planned Parenthood is happy to assist.

In other words, the problem wasn't the employee. The problem was that the employee got caught.

The truth is that Planned Parenthood doesn't care about the rationale behind abortion because their sole purpose is abortion itself. They aren't pro-choice; they're pro-abortion. Even those who are pro-choice acknowledge that there are some choices that ought to be out of bounds — there are many pro-choice advocates who oppose sex-selective abortion on the grounds that it murders the future generation of girls.

Want a war on women? It's hard to fight that war any more effectively than by sending a Planned Parenthood Terminator back in time to take care of Sarah Connor's pregnancy.

Planned Parenthood makes the quasi-libertarian argument that any choice is a decent choice when it comes to abortion. No reason is too frivolous, no rationale too degraded. That means that Planned Parenthood doesn't want abortion to be safe, legal and rare, as in the cherished rhetoric of Bill Clinton — they don't care whether it's rare. They just want it safe and legal.

So why isn't Planned Parenthood shouting in the streets about the wonderful service this undercover Live Action reporter was provided? Why aren't they bragging rather than cringing?

Because even Planned Parenthood knows that its brand of militant pro-abortionism is unpopular across the country. They know that if Americans recognized that Planned Parenthood isn't about women's health at all, but about unrestricted killing of the unborn, they'd lose their taxpayer funding in an instant. So they masquerade as a moderate organization, even if it means a loyal employee has to lose her job. Meanwhile, they oppose all laws that would have prevented this employee from trying to hand out sex-selective abortions in the first place.

Planned Parenthood makes about half of its money through abortion. It makes nearly half a billion through government funding. Both of those streams of revenue would shrink dramatically were the American public to realize that the organization is more interested in abortion-on-demand than the right to choose. That's why the leadership of Planned Parenthood continues to maintain the unsustainable positions that sex-selective abortion is bad and even fire-able, but should remain legal.

I seriously threw up in my mouth reading this. PP is without a doubt, one of the most dispicable companies in this country. Anyone who offers abortion (the planned homicide of the unborn) for ANY reason is reprehensible and disgusting. But to murder a baby, simply for being a girl, I really can't voice what I think of that on here, it's against TOS. Thanks for posting this ima. I hadn't seen this one yet.

Sorry, ima, didn't mean to take over your post. But, by now, you know abortion is my hot-button issue. LOL.

Excellent post.

I think a great follow-up would be another one about Agenda 21.

Sorry but this is stupid. If they just made it so that you couldn't do late term abortions this wouldn't be a problem.

If half are girls

The other half are boys

Which means abortion has nothing to

Do with gender, except when right

Wing extremists make it up

Sick freaks..why would they even

Think of that?

Abortion is a legal medical procedure

Ones reasons are their own

Most abortions are performed before

The woman knows the sex..
