McCain to Fox News: âYou were wrong about Libyaâ John McCain schools Sean Hannity
On Sean Hannityâs show last night, Hannity tried to pretend he knew a little something about foreign policy, and Sen. John McCain, R.-Ariz., set him straight.
âIt was you and people on Fox that said in Libya, âWe didnât know who they were and letâs not help these people,ââ McCain said. âThey had an election and they elected moderates. They rejected Islamists. And yes, there are al-Qaida factors and there are extremists in Libya today, but the Libyan people are friends of ours, and they support us, and they support democracy. So you were wrong about âso you were wrong about Libya.â

Amen. John McCain is a good man. I may not always agree with him, but I have always thought he was a good guy.

He's one of the few who will break party lines to tell it like it is. If he did more of this in 08 he may have won.

That Palin VP pick aside, I have always had quite a bit of respect for Sen. McCain. I disagree with him regularly, but he does not just tow the party line. He calls it like he sees it. This is not the first time and I pray it won't be the last. The GOP is in desperate need of people who actually think for themselves and obey their own conscience.
