Obama Campaign Actually Replaces 50 Stars on American Flag With Campaign ‘O’ Logo

If you go to barackobama.com right now, you can buy your very own limited edition American flag print. But this isn’t any ordinary American flag; this is an American flag that replaces the 50 stars representing the 50 states with President Obama’s campaign logo.

The Obama campaign is selling the limited edition “Our Stripes: Flag poster” for $35 on its official website. The screen print was designed by Ross Bruggink and Dan Olson, according to the site.

As Fox News’ Todd Starnes points out, there is also another print for sale called “Our Stripes: Country Print” that also looks like an American flag but in the shape of the United States. Again, in the top left corner sits the Obama campaign logo instead of the 50 stars.

Promoting the new item, Obama’s official campaign Twitter account tweeted:

“The United States of Obama?” Starnes asks in his headline.

Find out how people are reacting to the Obama campaign’s version of the American flag on Twitter at Twitchy.com.

Just for the record, an American flag should never bear “any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature,” according to U.S. flag code.

Additionally, U.S. Flag Code-Title 4, Ch. 1, Sec. 3 prohibits the “Use of flag for advertising purposes.”

In case you find it hard to believe that the campaign of the sitting president of the United States would sell an item that replaces the stars on the sacred American flag with their own logo, we snapped some screen shots to prove it’s true.

This isn’t the first time that President Obama and American flags have sparked controversy. In fact, his campaign appears to have a real problem understanding U.S. flag code.

TheBlaze previously reported that the Obama campaign left a giant American flag on the ground while they were setting up for an official campaign event at the University of Iowa, a blatant violation of U.S. flag code that states an American flag should never touch the ground.

Further, just last week a Texas school district was forced to remove an American flag that has Obama’s face plastered on it. Again, just as in this most recent case, flag code states an American flag should never bear “any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.”

Apparently, she imagines a scenario where Obama was offered a pin to wear, but refused, spat on it, stomped it into dust, then did a victory dance around it while everyone Republican simply forgot to put theirs on while singing Yankee Doodle Dandy.

So where's their pins? Does he have a magical pin that only shows up when people aren't looking?

Quoting Lacey14:

Have you heard any of them refuse to wear the pin?  Didn't think so.

What is it with Obama and the American flag?  Good grief, first he disrespects it by not saluting, then he refuses to wear the pin, now this piece of garbage.

Photoshop?  What does it matter?  So you found a pic online of Romney with no pin.  What point are you trying to make?  I don't believe Romney ever said he refused to wear the pin and that is my point about Obama, as I've said many times.  So now tell me what your point is.  Nobody expects them to wear pins all the time.  I just don't think they should refuse to do so.  The only reason Obama wears one all the time now, is because he got so much flack over not wearing it.

So, he didn't want to tout his patriotism at a time when everyone believed it was important.  I don't believe anybody wearing a flag pin, acted in an unpatriotic manner.

Quoting Trueblu:

He didn't refuse. He said people seemed to be wearing them to tout their patriotism while not acting in very patriotic ways. So he would prefer to let his actions, rather than a pin, be evidence of his patriotism. That's truly evil....cue the horror flick music.

You don't believe ANYONE wearing a flag pin acted unpatriotic? That's a bold assertion. You know everyone who wore a pin? And you saw their behavior every day? And you alone are the arbiter of what's patriotic? I'm telling you what his reason was. Accept it or not, but he didn't REFUSE to wear it in some sort of undermining way. He chose to use actions over symbols to communicate. You think that's wrong, others may not.

Good job Edna!  This is really something to get worried about!  That's Obama's next plan of action in his secretive plan to destroy America and hand it over to the Muslim Brotherhood.  He already replaced all flags in DC with his Obama Nation flags.  He's coming to your neighborhood next to get your flag, too!  Be sure to stock up on those for your bunker, too! GEEEEEEEZZZZZ!!!!!!!

I don't think the Flag of the United States of America should be altered at all in a campaign.  Point Blank.  Democrat, Republican, ANYONE!  It should not be transformed to market yourself.  No one is above that symbol, showcase the flag, YES, but don't alter it for your own ego.
