When did it become a crime to work hard and earn money? Why do those who put effort forth to earn a great living get beat up by the people who also benefit from our hard work? I work hard so I can provide for my family. The taxes I pay and the donations I give help support those who can't work, but I am vilified for being successful?
I don't vilify anyone who is successful, that got there by honest hard work. I despise corporate raiders, however. I admire Warren Buffet. He has never lost touch with his humanity. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, etc. they all earned their money by hard work, and benefitted others to get there. It's about the morals and ethics on getting to the top, and it can be done.
Investing in a company, leveraging it up with debt, and then leaving that company stuck with that debt and end up in foreclosure, pocketing the money while others lose their livelihood, is immoral.

The same Warren Buffet as in Warren "Berkshire Hathaway" Buffet.....Bershire Hathaway that owes taxes as far back as 2002....roughly 1 BILLION dollars....
You should not be vilified at all, and shame on those who do so.
As a Democrat, who supports at least some redistributive efforts through the tax code, I believe that the government should serve the whole populace, and not simply the rich. Not because I believe that is what is "fair" -- for fair is an ever-subjective term.
I believe we must do so because that is the way best way to support a properous, ever growing middle-class.
