Are You And DH Both Dem OR Rep?

Posted by   + Show Post

Do you and your dh both have the same view as far as republican, democrat,or independent? My dh and I arent.I am a moderate democrat and he is independent but leans more towards conservatism.Despite our differences ...we spar...but respect one anothers view.In the end we decide together who we want as president...yet at the end of the day we arent in the voters booth together...lol..

Alot of people cant see how with different views we have managed to stay married over 13 years. We both are very passionate, respectful, and adore one another over all.

We both consider ourselves Democrats but, we really are more moderate. We are fiscal conservatives and social liberals although, he is more liberal than I am.

No. He was a card carrying, proud democrat. Now, he is a registered republican. I'm an independent, leaning more libertarian in some issues than him.

This.
Though we're more liberal with social issues and more conservative when it comes to economics (things the government really should focus on, IMO).

We are both Republicans. Honestly, I couldn't marry a democrat.

Sounds like us!

We are both Republicans. He doesn't really enjoy discussing politics though, and relies on me to give him the Cliff's Notes version of what is going on.

We were both Republicans up till 2004 .
we just couldn't support a party that was so behind in times, and especially since having children, we have to leave a better world for them, not a war ridden, oil covered, impoverished world that only caters to certain people.
Everyone should be given the opportunity to do better.

You always sound so bitter to me and you didn't answer the question.  It's fine you left the Repbulican party but it doesn't sound like whatever you have chosen makes you very happy.  Just my opinion.

I wouldn't have married a Democrat.  I just don't mesh with their thinking.

Yes, we are both proudly Republican raising 4 proudly Republican kids. =)
