Romney's Plan to Create 12 Million New Jobs

Posted by   + Show Post

Jobs Plan Introduction

Mitt Romney’s Plan for a Stronger Middle Class is a five-part proposal for turning around the economy and delivering more jobs and more take-home pay for American families. While President Obama continues looking to big government spending programs as the solution to the nation’s challenges, Mitt understands that it is hardworking Americans in the private sector who will achieve economic growth and job creation. His plan will end the middle class squeeze of declining incomes and rising prices, bring back prosperity, and create 12 million jobs during his first term.

Part one of Mitt’s plan is to achieve energy independence on this continent by 2020. America is blessed with extraordinary natural resources, and developing them will create millions of good jobs – not only in the energy industry, but also in industries like manufacturing that will benefit from more energy at lower prices. America’s economy will boom when the billions of dollars we send overseas for our oil are kept here at home instead.

Part two of the plan is trade that works for America. Mitt believes that trade can offer enormous opportunities for American businesses and workers, but only if they are given a level playing field on which they can compete and win. That is why he will work to open new markets for American goods and services, while also confronting nations like China that cheat on trade and steal American jobs.

Part three is to provide Americans with the skills to succeed through better public schools, better access to higher education, and better retraining programs that help to match unemployed workers with real-world job opportunities.

Part four is to cut the deficit, reducing the size of government and getting the national debt under control so that America remains a place where businesses want to open up shop and hire.

Finally, part five of Mitt’s plan is to champion small business. Small businesses are the engine of job creation in this country, but they will struggle to succeed if taxes and regulations are too burdensome or if a government in Washington does its best to stifle them. Mitt will pursue comprehensive tax reform that lowers tax rates for all Americans, and he will cut back on the red tape that drives up costs and discourages hiring.

This election presents a clear choice, and an important one: Will America once again be the best place in the world to start a business, hire a worker, or find a job? Or will it continue down the path that President Obama’s borrowing and taxing and spending has led? America is still waiting for its economic recovery and, as president, Mitt Romney will deliver it.

Well you better start packing your bags ladies and learn a new language, because you will have to move to China if you want a job. :)  Since Mitt Romney wants to send manufacturing overseas for cheap labor. frustratedThat seems to be the Wall Street Punk thing to do.

 Where did he state that?

Obama sent our tax dollars overseas.

Obama's Stimulus Tax Dollars Used to Create Jobs Overseas

A few weeks ago, the Washington Post and the Obama campaign worked together to attack Governor Mitt Romney with proven lies about outsourcing. Though this attack has been exposed as a lie, that didn't stop Barack Obama from continuing the attack, nor has it stopped his Media Palace Guards from attempting to drag Romney into the trap of responding to these lies.

Rather than make Obama pay a price for lying -- which the media would do to a Republican -- the media chose instead to try to pressure Romney into the no-win debate of attempting to prove a negative, which would've only hurt him more than the lies themselves. Polls now prove Romney made the correct decision.

Another superb decision the Romney campaign made was to take their time, get some facts together, and fight back against Obama's and the Washington Post's lies on offense.

It seems as though our current President, who is now posing as Mr. In-Sourcer-in-Chief, not only squandered nearly a trillion of our dollars on a failed stimulus, but also used our money to create jobs in foreign countries such as France, Italy, Russia, Mexico, and so on and on and on.

RNC Chair Reince Priebus:

What do Finnish cars, Mexican solar panels, and Danish windmills have in common? They were all funded by your tax dollars.

Thanks to President Obama, taxpayer money, mostly in the form of stimulus funds, ended up in the hands of companies overseas. Instead of creating jobs in America, the stimulus and other Obama policies created jobs or sent money to Finland, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, China, Denmark, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Russia, Luxembourg, El Salvador, Great Britain, Spain, Japan, and France.

How did this happen? Consider the example of Fisker Automotive. The company received $500 million in loan guarantees from the U.S. government to produce electric cars. Then they took their money and decided to produce their $100,000 electric sports cars in Finland.

President Obama's policies may be spurring job creation in Scandinavia. But here at home, twenty-three million Americans are struggling for work. Millions of middle class families can barely make ends meet.

The billions of dollars that went overseas largely had to be borrowed. In other words, President Obama borrowed money from countries like China to send money to... countries like China. It's that kind of reckless spending that led President Obama to rack up $5.6 trillion in debt over the last three and a half years, bringing our total national debt to $15.8 trillion.

Priebus will officially unveil all of this later today in the swing state of Iowa, and a website called "Obamanomics Outsourced" goes into great detail showing how your tax dollars and mine benefitted and created jobs in over a dozen countries not named America.

What we all know, of course, is that the very same media currently obsessed with outsourcing will never give the damning fact that Obama used our tax dollars to create jobs overseas the attention it deserves for one simple reason: it is a damning fact.

Not only does it prove the hypocrisy of President In-Sourcer, it goes straight to the heart of his failed stimulus and overall economy.

Good for the Romney campaign, though. They refused to get dragged into a media-created lie and a debate they couldn’t win -- refused to be put on defense -- and now have facts to fight the fire of the media's and Obama's lies.

Because the Romney case is so strong in their counter-attack, my guess is that both Obama and his Media Palace Guards will suddenly find outsourcing a less interesting topic.

Which is still a win for our side.

In his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination, former governor Mitt Romney focused more on his biography than his policy positions. But there were moments when his facts went awry or were missing important context.

Let’s take a tour through the rhetoric.

“And unlike the president, I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs.”

This sounds like a pretty bold statement, especially considering that only two presidents — Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton — created more than 12 million jobs. Romney, in fact, says he can reach this same goal, in just four years, though the policy paper issued by his campaign contains few details. It is mostly a collection of policy assertions, such as reducing debt, overhauling the tax code, fostering free trade and so forth.

But, in fact, the number is even less impressive than it sounds. This pledge amounts to an average of 250,000 jobs a month, a far cry from the 500,000 jobs a month that Romney once claimed would be created in a “normal recovery.” In recent months, the economy has averaged about 150,000 jobs a month.

The Congressional Budget Office is required to consider the effects of the so-called “fiscal cliff” if a year-end budget deal is not reached, which many experts believe would push the country into a recession. But even with that caveat, the nonpartisan agency assumes 9.06 million jobs will be created between 2013 and 2017. (This is a revision downward; CBO had estimated 11 million in January.)

President Obama has a plan to bring jobs back to the U.S.

Mitt Romney has a plan that would encourage companies to ship jobs overseas

President Obama is working to bring jobs back to the U.S. by eliminating tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Mitt Romney would keep tax incentives for shipping jobs overseas and encourage further outsourcing by eliminating taxes on American companies’ foreign profits.

  • “That starts with us changing our tax code so we stop giving tax breaks to companies that are shipping jobs overseas.”
  • Eliminate tax breaks for companies that outsource American jobs
  • Create tax incentives for businesses bringing jobs back home
  • Invest in education and training programs for American workers
  • Make tax cuts for the middle class permanent
  • Double exports and create one million new manufacturing jobs
  • Romney led investments in companies that were "pioneers" in the practice of shipping U.S. jobs overseas
  • Protect tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas
  • Encourage outsourcing by eliminating taxes on companies’ foreign profits
  • Slash funding for education and jobs skills training even as he gives deep new tax breaks to the wealthy
  • Raise taxes on middle class families, while giving the wealthy new tax cuts
  • Cut export promotion and provide new tax incentives to move jobs overseas

Romney's 5 step plan is very different from what we have gotten the past 4 years.  And Romney is putting himself on the spot - 12 million new jobs is a huge goal.  But as he said, decreasing tax rates, getting rid of extraneous regulation that hurts small businesses, taking advantage of so much domestic energy stores in America, reducing the deficit & national debt, improving education, and not wasting taxpayer money on speculative subsidies (eg, Solyndra) - all will help create jobs.

I'm excited. Republicans need to work outside the MSM, stay focused, and take the flawed polls with a grain of salt. I really think we can win this election.

I love that Romney truly wants to give the government less control and the individual states at the local level, more control.

I thought that's even what the libs wanted as well. I mean weren't they always saying that?

Now there's a candidate that is saying.."I promise I will" and they still won't support him...and solely because those promises are coming from the mouth of a wealthy, white, Republican lol!!

That kind of leads me to believe that libs really do want more government involvement but just as long as that support is with issues they agree with. Such as Roe v Wade, SSM, Marijuana, birth control RX, and abortion.... "just stand by until we have a problem getting our way, until then, keep your nose out of it. lol!".

Well, they can't have it both ways.

The days of being double-minded are over! We can't afford it anymore.

 bow downTHE FACTS !!!!!!!

GREAT NEWS MoMs! The unemployment rate in the U.S. unexpectedly fell to 7.8 percent in September, the lowest since President Barack Obama took office in January 2009. In spite of the Republican majority 'do nothing congress' that didn't pass Obama's Job's Bill

Stock-index futures climbed after the figures. The contract on the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index expiring in December rose 0.4 percent to 1,462 at 8:50 a.m. in New York.

...
The economy added 114,000 workers last month after a revised 142,000 gain in August that was more than initially estimated, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median estimate of 92 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for an advance of 115,000. The jobless rate dropped from 8.1 percent and hourly earnings climbed more than forecast.
