Campaign Surrogate Admits Romney Is Changing Positions Just To Win Votes

Mitt Romney campaign surrogate Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA) admitted that the GOP presidential candidates was changing his positions and moving towards the middle in order to win over voters, during an appearance on CNN’s Starting Point on Friday morning. Gingrey’s comments, reminiscent of Romney advisor Eric Fehrnstrom’s claim that Romney would “Etch-A-Sketch” his positions after the GOP primary, came in response to the candidate’s recent claim that his 47% remarks were “completely wrong.”

“[T]he Republican, the conservative candidate in the primary, is always going to lean right and come back to the center for the general, the opposite for the Democrat,” Gingrey explained. “That’s all you are seeing here. It is very typical. We strong conservatives understand that. There are a lot of undecideds in this country…we want those votes too. So, this is campaign strategy.” Watch it:

Romney began moving towards the center during Wednesday night’s debate, distancing himself from his $5 trillion tax cut planembracing portions of his Massachusetts health care law as a model for the states, faulting Wall Street reform for providing “the biggest kiss that’s been given to New York banks,” and considering eliminating tax deductions for oil companies.

He continued to change his rhetoric on Fox News’ Hannity on Thursday night. Romney described his remarks about the 47% as completely wrong, despite telling Hannity’s colleague Neil Cavuto last month that he stood by the comments.

“This is a message I’m carrying day in and day out and will carry over the coming months,” Romney said after his secretly taped comments calling half of Americans “dependent upon government” surfaced. “I’m talking about a perspective of individuals who I’m not likely to get to support me…. And those that are dependent upon government and those that think government`s job is redistribute, I — I’m not going to get them.”

He is not trustworthy.

Blah Blah. I have heard Romney say recently just what he has said during the whole campaign.  I have paid attention and hope most conservatives have also. It's the left who has been twisting things.  As more info comes out (which is what the left was crying about) they start howling that that isn't his real position.  Considering they were just whining because they didn't know his positions it's now ironic that all of a sudden they know he is changing them.   Very comical really.  The GOP knows the left isn't going to stop lying and spinning just because Romney had a good debate. Their lies will continue to grow.

Yes this what really shocked me in this debate.Yet what shocked me even more is that Obama let him tell lie after lie after lie.I was screaming Obama....no you didnt just let him tell those lies...lol..

I think Romney has multiple personality disorder. He calls half the country moochers and lazy and on pa.Then he smiles and says he cares about the lower and middle class on stage. He says he is going to cut head start and pell grants to help education. Then on stage says he will keep obamacare in place. He wants to cut elderly medicare...then on stage says hes keeping obama care...yet with a slight twist...vouchers for those under 54.His idea of medical care is to send people to the emergency room. Then on stage he says he will keep medicaid place...but with a twist...let it be state regulated and faded out.He says he is for the middle class but his policies will only have the middle class paying the most taxes. The rich barely paying any and getting richer.Taking away all assistance like unemployment, loans, education, and more leaving the middle class poor and the poor homeless and all the middle and lower class in a real life hunger games depression fighting for survival! While Romeny sits counting his millions stashed away in the Camen Islands.First your small government then large government.First your pro life then pro choice. He stretches his truths and out right lies about almost everything. Are you conservative or are you liberal....who the heck are you Romney??

My vote....is for OBAMA

Romney check your nose to see if it is growing because your name should be Pinocchio!
