 Hi,

If Romney were elected.

What would you do if you or your spouse lost their job?

What would you do if you both lost your jobs??

Do you have a savings? What would you do for food and medical?

What is Romneys plan for families in need if any?

Makes no sense that you should just pose this hypothetical question to republicans.

This is not an exclusive event to republicans only.

We must stop dividing this country down the middle. We are more than a political party.

Ask yourself, "what question could I pose to unify people, not further divide them?"

I will first answer your questions then I will ask a couple.

1) I would look for another job in my field and if that did not work out fast I would work at the 7/11 one shift a day and clean rooms at the Red Roof Inn another shift, I might even cut yards or wash cars or clean my neighbors houses for extra.  My husband works for our business so that would mean the business had gone under so I guess he would do the same as above.  What ever it takes, how much ever it takes.

2) If we both lost our jobs we would do as above X 2, plus sell a few things, get rid of everything that was not necessary to live and keep on.

3)Yes we do have savings, we started out saving 5% of our take home pay the day we got married, it was like a bill we paid to ourselves, auto transfer out of the checking account, we now are up to 15% of pay before taxes and insurance.  We cut back in a lot of places to be able to do this but it is doable for us.  We do not drive new cars, we do not have huge cable packages , we watch our utility bills like a hawk and the kids are on a tight budget.  We do not have date nights unless it is a walk in the park together and we both (and the kids) cook meals that are inexpensive and healthy.  We do not belong to a gym, we work out in our back yard and run. We would be good for a couple years if we were very careful. So what we would do for food and health?  Well we would buy what we had to with what ever money we have, we would live off what we have in the freezer and have put in jars and if we could not get food any other way we would apply for foodstamps.  For medical, we would do whatever we could, not having a magic 8 ball to say if someone would need surgery or if someone would have an ear infection, I could not tell you.

4) Romney's plan is just what is there now.  He only wants to do away with fraud and abuse.  So if you are not committing fraud or abusing the system there is nothing to worry about.

Now for my questions.  Who have you been talking to?  Do you really believe that on Jan. 20, 2013 all social programs are going to be stopped?  That people are going to be hungry?  That checks will no longer be deposited and health care is going to be denied?  Someone has you right where they want you, scared to death.

My husband did lose his job one year 2 months after we got married, the business closed it doors on a Friday afternoon, handed out checks and said don't come back to over 125 people.  We were broke for 6 months, we did without, ate meatless meals 4 out of 7 days and he picked up work where he could for 6 months while interviewing for jobs.  It is not easy but it is possible.

Again, the people that are not committing fraud on the system and not abusing the system have nothing to worry about, but those that are.......might want to check out the want ads.

Not a R but anyone could lose their job.

My job is pretty secure because I am a Per Diem worker- no benefits in lieu of higher pay.

My husband has a contract and could lose his position, but that would come with a severance package, based on position and longevity. He probably would start his own business. It's always been a dream of his.

Bronc- WHy do  you always focus on those breaking the rules? Do you personally know scads of people doing this? If so, have you reported them?

Hi,

I dissagree with your comment.I am just asking a question?

Do rebublicans ever stop to think about what would happen if they lost their jobs if Romney was in office? No one is immune to it.

I care about people I am hardly a divider.

This is what I'm talking about.

No one is exempt from struggles, no one.

Why wouldn't they stop to think what would happen if they lost their jobs? I'm curious as to your reply.

Correct, no one is immune.

Likely because some Rs tend to support policies that are anti-safety nets.

What's she asking is have those on the right ever imagined what they would do if they were faced with economic uncertainty?

While saying you'd get a job at 7-11 or the Motel 6 is commendable, I wonder how many with long term, successful careers could meet their financial needs by working 2 of these jobs?

I'd be more confident that I'd be able to find another job with Romney as president, than I am with Obama.

I'm not at all worried.
