Politics ABC News scrambles to cover up Barack Obama’s attendance at VP debate moderator’s wedding

President Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned. Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review.

After TheDC made preliminary inquiries Monday to confirm Obama’s attendance at the wedding, ABC leaked a pre-emptive statement to liberal-leaning news outlets including Politico and The Daily Beast Tuesday, revealing what may have been internal network pressure felt just days before Raddatz was scheduled to moderate the one and only vice-presidential debate Thursday night. Both Politico and The Daily Beast jumped to ABC and Raddatz’s defense. The Huffington Post, another liberal news outlet, joined them shortly thereafter, while calling “unusual” ABC’s attempt to kill the story before it gained wide circulation.

Who cares who moderates? The right is going to call anyone left of Fox News biased anyways. And if O went to college with and appointed this chick's husband to head the FCC, who cares if he attended their wedding? There's already a more recent connection established. More fluff, IMO.

I think the DEM party is prepping Biden to be a pit bull for the evening.  I don't under-estimate Biden's ability to showboat  politically....He's been in politics for many years.  He'll have his own "I knew Jack Kennedy and you're no Jack Kennedy" line.

I don't think Ryan will mop the floor. Biden is well known for being outspoken, sometimes good...sometimes bad. Even Ryan said he expects Biden to come at him very strongly. I think it will be an equal debate here...but we will find out for sure this evening.
