I am all for tightening some rules on guns, but some people don't have cars because they can't afford things like the insurance; it's not right to say, "You can't afford the insurance? Fine, you can't protect your family."
I am only playing devil's advocate and don't want to start fights, but I am also quite pro-gun. Everything on that list I agree with (especially the health requirements), but illegal immigants drive cars, people drive without licenses, insurance, and inspections all the time; it might help a little bit, but it's not going to do anything for the people that are already illegally in possession of guns. One thing they really need to do is ban private sales and make it a federal requirement to go through an FFL to buy/sell/trade guns.
There should be background checks, health requirements and licensing involved.
There has to be some level of responsibility involved and consequences for not meeting the guidelines established.
Not everyone should have access to a gun.
I could probably name 10 people right now, but that would be crass-
I am very much pro-responsible gun ownership. I wouldn't argue these points at all.
Yes of course.........to a law abiding citizen anyway.
Sure, sounds reasonable to me - but that's not what gun control advocates are advocating.
They are advocating the equivalent of confiscating all cars, because after all, cars kill people.
No they are not.
Fake hyperbole and drama-
