President Barack Obama is living in a “fantasy world” with the proposals he has put forward to solve the fiscal cliff, Florida Rep. Allen West charged on Thursday.

“What the president is proposing is not pragmatic whatsoever and it really is a reflection of him, I suppose, living in some type of fantasy world,” West, a favorite of the Tea Party Patriots, told Fox News.

The president has proposed raising taxes on those earning $250,000 a year in his plan to prevent the automatic triggering of tax increases and deep spending cuts scheduled for Jan. 2.

“We’re telling the American people that they have to tighten their bootstraps, but we don’t seem to want to do that in Washington, D.C.,” West, who lost his seat to Democrat Patrick Murphy last month, told Fox.

West also lashed out at Democrats who say Obama received an electoral mandate to raise taxes.

“I’m not such an idiotic person where I’m going to follow someone off into the abyss,” West told Fox. “This is a horrible political gimmick that the president ran on.

“Unfortunately, he did win the election. But when you look at the House of Representatives, the Republicans maintained their majority there — and that is where revenue bills emanate from.”

So is he saying that the House is responsible for the budget? spending? the purse strings?

Hot damn, on that I agree.

Let's talk about the cuts that could have impacted security in places like Benghazi- he was a member of that money controlling house at that time, right? Hmmmm.

I think that it speaks volumes that people don't listen to this man since he lost his seat to a Democrat.  He is just an angry man who needs to go away since he is definitely not helping the issues at all.
