 Proponents for alt-med are "extremists".

Agree or Disagree?

Disagree.

Even my physician's assistant has suggested some herbs for a condition my son has. There is a lot that alternatives to pharmacuticals that are better, unpolluted by perservatives, and definitely are much cheaper, and do the job without harming the body.

Disagree. Extremists exist in all groups. I've used and prefer to use "alternative medicines" (chiropractic, herbal supplements, homeopathic remedies) in some instances (allergies, colds, muscle aches, etc) but do use western medicine to treat more serious problems (in my case, blood pressure). So there is a way to use in moderation.

Anyone can be an extremist about a topic.  Alternative medicine can be helpful at times, but to only rely on it and be adamant about other medical interventions as needed is extremist and foolish.  I knew a woman who's daughter had a very severe infection that she was treating with alternative medications.  The poor girl was suffering, shivering, feverish, and the mother was in denial, saying the kid was shivering because she drank a cold smoothie.  That child ended up hospitalized for a week.

Disagree.  It has been proven that when combined with western medicine some of it is very beneficial

Then why did you bash the Natural News site?

You're contradicting yourself, BP. It doesn't make any sense.

The natural news site spreads misinformation and very extremist view points.  Even other health sites warn people that the information they spread is only half correct if correct at all.

Disagree. Some alternative meds are useful. Anyone can be an extremist though.
