GLEN ROSE — Two people were killed Saturday at a gun range in Erath County.

Three sources tell News 8 that one of the victims was Chris Kyle, a former Navy SEAL and author of the New York Times bestselling book, "American Sniper."

Kyle was shot point-blank while helping another soldier who is recovering from post traumatic stress syndrome, News 8 learned.

An alert was issued for the suspect, who was believed to be driving a black Ford F-350 truck with large tires and rims.

Police have reportedly captured the suspect in Lancaster, south of Dallas. The suspect was believed to be highly trained with military experience

The shooting location is 53 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

"American Sniper" was published last year, and details Kyle's 150-plus kills of insurgents from 1999 to 2009. The book's cover refers to Kyle as "the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history," with 160 confirmed kills.

Kyle, 39, was born in Odessa, Texas and was using a rifle at the age of 8, according to his book.

He served four tours of duty in Iraq and was twice wounded by gunfire.

Kyle left the Navy in 2009 and was president of Craft International, which provides training to military and law enforcement professionals.

And people are stabbed to death in this country, too?

What's your point?

Example — A 19-year-old Belvidere woman was arrested after police say she stabbed her fiance to death.

Or, are you wanting to focus just on guns and not other ways people die in this country?

Get guns off the street, and then we can focus on the rest.

Some people appear to have a problem with the fact that another Mentally unstable person killed.  Instead, they want to focus on the gun.

Then there is,

Quote:

(Tipton County) A Mid-South hunter captured a woman burglarizing his home.

It happened outside of Millington in the 4000 block of Quito Drummonds Road in Tipton County.

“I pulled up in the yard and there was a car there,” Alfred Wilson said.

Wilson told News Channel 3 on December 19th he was just getting home after a day of hunting to find a strangers car parked outside.

“The storm window was out like it was on a hinge,” he said.

A few minutes later he came face to face with the intruder.

“The lady came out from behind that bush there and was trying to get in her car and get away,” he said.

That’s when he went to his car and grabbed his gun.

“This is a deer rifle,” he said. “It’s not an assault weapon. It’s a deer rifle.”

He held the woman at gunpoint until police arrived.

“All I wanted to do was stop the lady,” he said. “I didn’t want to be the judge, jury, and executioner so to speak right here.”

Once police got there they arrested Melissa Rodriguez,32.

Inside her car police say they found four of Wilson’s guns, a cross-bow and that’s not all.

“They had our TV all our jewelry, telephones, and what not inside. They was fixing to make a big haul.”

The woman told Wilson she wasn’t the thief.

“She said my son that did that,” he said.

Police say a 17-year-old got away before they got there. He’s now a wanted man while Rodriguez faces several charges including aggravated robbery..

Wilson said he’s glad his quick thinking captured the alleged crook.

“If I hadn’t had a gun that day with me would have lost everything I had,” he said. “She would have been scott-free.”

Rodriguez is free on $10,000 bond. If you have information on the whereabouts of the juvenile call the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office at 901-475-3300.

Bingo!  This is her entire agenda.  She thinks guns are evil, and so is anyone who wants one or owns one.....  silly child that she is.
