Benghazi Mom: āI Was Told That Iām Causing a Lot of Problems and To Shut Upā April 7, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield 72 Comments
Before last yearās election, Patricia Smith, the mother of murdered Benghazi mission officer Sean Smith, spoke forcefully about getting to the truth of what happened. Patricia Smith, the mother of slain State Department employee Sean Patrick Smith, is now blaming President Barack Obama for her sonās death.
āI believe that Obama murdered my son,ā she said Thursday from the living room of her Clairemont home. āI firmly believe this.ā Members of Obama Inc. lied to Smith and told her that it was all about the movie. That Susan Rise, what ā she talked to me personally and she said, she said, this is the way it was. It was ā it was because of this film that came out. COOPER:
So she told you personally that she thought it was a result of that video of the protest? SMITH: Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. In fact all of them did. All of them did. Leon Panetta actually took my face in his hands like this and he said, trust me. I will tell you what happened. And so far, heās told me nothing. Nothing at all. And I want to know. Exactly. I told him, if itās such a secret thing, fine, take me in another room, whisper in my ear what happened so that I know, and weāll go from there. But no. No, they ā you know, they treat me like ā at first I was so proud because they were treating me so nice when I went to that reception. They all came up to me and talked to me and everything. I cried on Obamaās shoulder. And he ā then heād kind of looked off into the distance. So that was worthless to me. I want to know, for godās sakes. Or for Allahās sake or whoeverās sake is there.
Now Patricia Smith is speaking out again and talking about the pressure that has been coming down on her. My son himself told me that he warned themā¦. He said: āI told them, I sent messagesāā¦. He was on the tele-type of whatever it isā¦ he was on there telling them, just before it happened, and that the guy out there was taking pictures of the place. He was telling them that. He was a communications guy and he was communicating that. They donāt tell me much. They want me to shut upā¦. I was told, and I really would rather not say by who, [though] I can if you need it, but I was told that Iām causing a lot of problems and to shut upā¦. I told them āI will not! I will not shut up until I find out what really happened!ā
The President? I cried on his shoulder. And I was crying there and heās patting me on the back and looking around to who heās gonna talk to next. So I didnāt feel any comfort there. Hillary? I cried on her shoulder also, but she paid a little attention to me then walked off. Thatās the reason I keep opening my mouth about it. I want someone to admit it so that it wonāt happen again. So that thereās safety there.
