Benghazi Mom: “I Was Told That I’m Causing a Lot of Problems and To Shut Up” April 7, 2013 By Daniel Greenfield 72 Comments

Before last year’s election, Patricia Smith, the mother of murdered Benghazi mission officer Sean Smith, spoke forcefully about getting to the truth of what happened. Patricia Smith, the mother of slain State Department employee Sean Patrick Smith, is now blaming President Barack Obama for her son’s death.

“I believe that Obama murdered my son,” she said Thursday from the living room of her Clairemont home. “I firmly believe this.” Members of Obama Inc. lied to Smith and told her that it was all about the movie. That Susan Rise, what — she talked to me personally and she said, she said, this is the way it was. It was — it was because of this film that came out. COOPER:

So she told you personally that she thought it was a result of that video of the protest? SMITH: Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. In fact all of them did. All of them did. Leon Panetta actually took my face in his hands like this and he said, trust me. I will tell you what happened. And so far, he’s told me nothing. Nothing at all. And I want to know. Exactly. I told him, if it’s such a secret thing, fine, take me in another room, whisper in my ear what happened so that I know, and we’ll go from there. But no. No, they — you know, they treat me like — at first I was so proud because they were treating me so nice when I went to that reception. They all came up to me and talked to me and everything. I cried on Obama’s shoulder. And he — then he’d kind of looked off into the distance. So that was worthless to me. I want to know, for god’s sakes. Or for Allah’s sake or whoever’s sake is there.

Now Patricia Smith is speaking out again and talking about the pressure that has been coming down on her. My son himself told me that he warned them…. He said: ‘I told them, I sent messages’…. He was on the tele-type of whatever it is… he was on there telling them, just before it happened, and that the guy out there was taking pictures of the place. He was telling them that. He was a communications guy and he was communicating that. They don’t tell me much. They want me to shut up…. I was told, and I really would rather not say by who, [though] I can if you need it, but I was told that I’m causing a lot of problems and to shut up…. I told them ‘I will not! I will not shut up until I find out what really happened!’

The President? I cried on his shoulder. And I was crying there and he’s patting me on the back and looking around to who he’s gonna talk to next. So I didn’t feel any comfort there. Hillary? I cried on her shoulder also, but she paid a little attention to me then walked off. That’s the reason I keep opening my mouth about it. I want someone to admit it so that it won’t happen again. So that there’s safety there.

Sounds a lot like what Cindy Sheehan went through.

I hope she gets the answers she needs. It must be very frustrating having to deal with all the lies while grieving over her son. :(

Yep and Cindy Sheehan never got the answers she needed either.

I understand the need for closure but I also understand the meaning of "need to know".

God forbid my husband die overseas... Would I want to know what exactly happened? Yes. Would I likely be told the whole truth? Nope.

No. Cindy Sheehan is a disgrace to her son's memory. Her son VOLUNTEERED and then re-enlisted to serve his country. During his last deployment he VOLUNTARILY joined a rapid rescue team and sadly died saving his fellow soldiers. Casey Sheehan was and is a Hero. His mother dishonors that memory with her obsession with fame.

While serving in or with the military (yes even at an embassy) there are things your family will NEVER know. They know this going into the job.

Maybe. But I hope she never gives up. I know I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of keeping silent.
