GRAND PRAIRIE -- Karon Wright, a middle school counselor in Grand Prairie ISD, has been "immediately relieved of all duties," the district said, after an offensive remark written from her Facebook account on WFAA-TV's Facebook page in regards to the explosion in West, Texas.

"It's amazing how the 'whites' get angry when Obama speaks," the comment read. "Oh well....its most of the whites who is getting blown away. So they will soon be wiped from the earth. Lol"

Wright denies she wrote the comment, and said her account was hacked.

The district said in a statement they found the statement to be "highly offensive, insensitive to the tragedy happening to our friends and neighbors in West, and disrespectful to the very human bond that we share with the people of West, especially those who have lost their loved ones."

The comment has since been deleted, but a viewer sent us a screengrab from their phone.

If her account was hacked - that would be easy to tell from an IT perspective.
Maybe she should have been suspended pending investigation.
Such an inflammatory statement, seems strange coming from a counselor, but we have seen people make other statements just as inflammatory.

Wow! I would agree that maybe a suspension would have been more appropriate pending an investigation.

If she did write that, it's obvious racism is alive and well in this great country.  That is just sad.

Wow. And people deny that racism exists within every race. The dmsad thing is I've heard this kind of stuff more than once.

you know if it was a white counselor that said that about black people this would be all over the news and people would not shut up about this.

Yikes - Sounds as if Karon Wright may just have been wiped from the middle school earth.

In discussing "most of the whites who is getting blown away":

1) She works in a school with grammar that atrocious?! What were they thinking?

2) Sounds like she is not familiar with the two Sandy Hooks a month in Chicago every year - almost entirely black Americans.

3) Can any person even look at this post and Tweet, and say it is impossible for a black person to be racist?

"......the whites is......"  ??

She needs to be concentrating on more worthwhile,  enriching activities..............

Is she really counselor material?
