Congressional Democrats say: global warming will make hookers of us all

In the dying days of the "climate change" fraud, the political hacks who used to to frighten so much power and money out of the populace have grown absolutely comical in their desperation.  The people who used to sneer that global warming "deniers" were "anti-science," and the moral equivalent of Holocaust deniers, have been reduced to wearing wooden voodoo masks and shaking skull-tipped medicine staffs in their final effort to shake a little more cash from those who still fear the Angry Sky Gods.

Case in point: a resolution written by House Democrats calling on Congress to recognize that "climate change" will hit women particularly hard... driving them into "transactional sex" to survive.  In other words, climate change causes prostitution.

Specifically, the resolution claims that "food insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health."

No, this is not satire.  This is a real Congressional resolution, and the gibbering lunatics who wrote it, led by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), are actual sitting members of Congress.

Perhaps someone should tell these idiots that the flailing climate-change charlatans have lately taken to claiming that, since there is NO global warming, and all of their climate models were proven incorrect, the man-made warming they so fervently believe in has actually been suppressing a naturally scheduled period of global cooling.  In other words, in their haste to conceal their previous folly and dishonesty, the climate-change crowd is saying that man-made global warming held the planet's temperature relatively stable.  And the benefits of these warmer temperatures include... increased food production.

I'll say this much in defense of Rep. Lee's time-wasting foolishness: "climate change" already has turned a lot of scientists into prostitutes.

Yes - to those of you who ask - this indeed is an opinion piece. About certain facts. With a tangy streak of satire through it all.

Enjoy.

Blah,

We are all prostitutes, some do it for $300/hour, some for a new Lexus, (black) and some do it for a vacation house on the lake.

What else do the hoaxers have?

Depends on the area.  Some cold places will become more productive if warmer.   Some already very warm places will become less productive if they get warmer still.   You're basically shifting, geographically, where the temperate zone is.

However, temperature change isn't the only effect - some places will get wetter and some dryer, as ocean currents move, and that will also effect long term productivity in particular areas.

In the short term, however, changing the climate away from the one the local crops are optimised for, tends to have a bad effect.

Mitigating that are the increases due to technology:

The arrival of famine in a country is correlated with an increase in prostitution in that country.  Is that something you doubt?

I often wonder what makes the hoaxers so arrogant that they believe the climate at the time of their birth is the climate that the earth was supposed to be?

Especially knowing that we have found civilizations under what was ice a short time ago.

Miss Hoaxer, what breeds that type of arrogance?

You are being inconsistent.

If it is a hoax, then they don't believe in it.

The Earth doesn't care what the climate is.  It is mainly an inanimate ball of molten rock.  It would be quite 'happy' (to whatever extent molten rock can have emotions) to have a Venus-like climate.

Unless you believe in a deity, there is no "supposed" about it.  The climate is what it is, at any one time.  What's relevant is not what it is "supposed" to be, but how supportive or inimical it is to the life currently living on it; at least, from the point of view of those life forms.

That part struck me, too. Seems a perfectly legitimate concern as traditionally agricultural societies face drought and famine. Perhaps the author's delusion is actually that the global south is in great condition?
