Chris Matthews Rips Obama; Loses 'Thrill Up My Leg'

The thrill apparently is gone for Chris Matthews, the MSNBC political commentator who in 2008 said that he felt a "thrill going up my leg" after a speech by then-presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Matthews offered a critique of the president on the job during his "Hardball" show Wednesday that was as scathing as any broadside a conservative might deliver, Politico noted

"What part of the presidency does Obama like? He doesn't like dealing with other politicians — that means his own cabinet, that means members of the Congress, either party," Matthews said.

"He doesn't particularly like the press. He likes to write the speeches, likes to rewrite what [speechwriter Jon] Favreau and the others wrote for the first draft."

"What part does he like?" Matthews asked again, not even giving his guest on the program, Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank, a chance to respond.

"He likes going on the road, campaigning, visiting businesses like he does every couple days somewhere in Ohio or somewhere," Matthews continued.

"What part does he like? He doesn't like lobbying for the bills he cares about. He doesn't like selling to the press. He doesn't like giving orders or giving somebody the power to give orders.

"He doesn't seem to like being an executive," he concluded.

Spending and speaking.

I used to tell people that if there were a way, Mitt would be happy to do work the right way behind the scenes, while Obama is soaking up the limelight. Mitt really loves Obama, I really don't think Obama does - he wants to undo American and then build what he wants it to be. Scary.

Hmmm, dead in the water?

I still don't think anything will come from any of these scandals. When one looks to be doing harm, they (the admin) will release something taking the heat off the one boiling. The press will go back to covering him. There isn't going to be any "there, there" because the admin is too damn slick to have anything actually lead back to Obama. He has perfected plausible denialibility and taken it to a new art form.

I hope I'm wrong and things will get so bad even the dems will jump on the bandwagon. Hopefully the incompetence blame will bite them in the ass. Hopefully we the people will see the light and it will set dems back for a few elections, but there are enough that don't care about anything but the R or D behind a name when they vote.

And having the very depts that are deep in this investigate themselves? LMAO

If only the news media, commentators  had held Obama accountable from the beginning.  They wouldn't look like saps, today.

I bet the AP is rethinking any pass they may have given the admin. In the past 5+years.
