In the George Zimmerman trial on Wednesday, witness Jeannee Manalo testified that she heard “howling” sounds in her living room. Later, she said, she heard cries for help and a struggle, presumably between Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin. She saw two people on the ground, she explained, but didn’t know who was on top. She then testified that she thought based on body size that Zimmerman was on top.

On cross-examination, however, she revealed that she based her estimate of body size on media photos which showed Martin as a 12-year-old. In reality, Martin was 17 years old, and in the incident report was listed as 6 feet tall and 160 lbs., as opposed to Zimmerman, who was listed at 5’9”. Manalo admitted that she didn’t know “who’s bigger now.”

So what. That "man" decided he was going to kill that young boy the moment he stepped out of his car!

You really should follow the trial so you can know what actually happened, and so you can see the prosecution's witnesses that continue to bolster the defense account.

After he hung up with with the dispatcher, GZ needed to give the police the exact street where he was located. The street signs are on the edge of the development. He got his street name, and turned to go back to his car. He had no idea where MT was at this moment.

Which is when TM attacked GZ.

PJ - Why do you think TM didn't just go to his dad's home in the south end of the complex? He had more than enough time to walk those 150 yards to get there. Why instead did he stay in in the northeast part of the complex, right off the street, lying in wait for GZ  - that "creepy ass cracker", according to his friend on the phone? And why did he punch GZ to the ground MMA style and keep slamming his head on the concrete? In other words, aggravated assaut - a violent crime. Does anything justify that?

Ha ha. Good joke.

You mean the 6 foot tall man who beat the crap out of him? Who attempted to grab his gun and told GZ he would kill him that night? That one?

He was not 12 years old in a red shirt - he was significantly taller than GZ, fairly close in weight at the time - meaning he had the advantage of using his body as a lever to knock GZ down. He knew how to fight. GZ is a nice guy, but is a wuss at fighting.

Your question again? Why did TM commit aggravated assault on GZ?  I have no idea.

Why didn't TM just go home in the south side of the complex, only 150 feet away -  instead of lying in wait for GZ just off the street on the NE side of the complex? TM was in the same spot when he got off the street. Why did he stalk and attack GZ? Someone he had racial animus for? (He called him a "creepy ass cracker'" to his friend on the phone.) HE was the racist. Why didn't he just go home??

This case has more twists and turns than a snake. The media tried to decieve people with what they were reporting.

Seriously what iof someone was following your CHILD. wouldn't you want them to defend themselves? i know I would.

GZ initiated a totally unnecessary confrontation and used deadly force when he found himself in over his head. Consequences for his actions are appropriate. Someone was killed, he should just spend an evening giving his statement, then go on his merry way?

Ain't that the truth?

You know - Usually the prosecution has all the information and a sharp case, and the defense is vague.

Here, the defense has all the information, and the prosecution witnesses mostly favor the defense.

Which is how it should be, since this case holds no water.

WRONG. You need to educate yourself on the facts.

Your narrative should now reflect the info from the prosecution witnesses in the trial. It's June 2013, woman! You are almost a year and a half behind.

That's what I thought all the time too. I read his intial statement after the incident and he told police he left his vehical to go look at the street sign to tell the dispatch operator where he was. It was at that time Treyvon approached him. The media wasn't reporting all these things. Also the girl on the stand today said she thougnt it was George on top, because she was influenced by the media pics of Treyvon when he was younger. There are lots of things coming out at the trial.
