McCain playing poker on his iPhone

As the hearing continues, our ace photographer Melina Mara reports she spotted Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) “passing the time by playing poker on his iPhone during the hearing.”

We eagerly await the photographic proof, but generally trust Melina’s sharp eye.

Update 5:55 p.m.: And here’s the proof:

Senator John McCain plays poker on his IPhone during a U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations hearing where Secretary of State JohnKerry, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey testify concerning the use of force in Syria, on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Update 6:38 p.m.: After the photo made the rounds on Twitter, McCain tweeted the following in response:

Which only means that he takes Obama more seriously than I do.  I think his antics are worthy of no better than Farmville.

If you think a majority of politicians enter a debating room without having already made up their minds which way to vote, or that they even intend to listen to what the other politicians say (except to keep half an ear out for mistakes they can score off)...

McCain has made it clear that his mind is made up so why does he need to pay attention?

What a dumba$$.

Favors a war, but doesn't pay attention in the meeting about the war. Probably did this in school too.

Don't know why he just doesn't officially become a lib, instead of a RINO.

Sort of like Obama playing golf during the Syrian war build-up.

Both completely disrespectful of our brave men and women in the military.

At least Bush immediately stopped playing golf the day the war started, and our men and women were in harm's way. Wish O and McC honored our military that way.
