Screw you guys then.

We live out of the country right now, but we have about 40 rental homes that are occupied through our coalition, and most of them are receiving TNFA or SNAP. I know those programs are federally funded but state run, so is there a way to find out if the government shut down will affect these programs? If so I need to add money into the account so these people to have what they need. Also will international post run? I've tried getting my assistant to look, but she cannot find a definitive answer.

Why the harsh "screw you guys then" title?

I believe the money granted is already in state hands so probably not. I haven't heard any contradicting info on snap or tanf. They'll probably be fine unless something has hit the wire that I don't know about over the last 12 hours.

Even if it did, I doubt we'd be shut down more than a day.

Yes I found out that they get the money for the welfare programs quarterly. So they *IF* the money goes into the state funds from the federal funds before noon on the first it should be ok for at least 3 months.

I looked and looked. Our internet connection is spotty at best here so I thought this was a quick way to get some answers. I know wire transfers can take some time so I needed to know today before banks open tomorrow. Someone was nice enough to get me the info I needed.
