Could Your Credit Score Impact Your ObamaCare Plan?

A Florida TV station reports that people's credit score's will "have a big impact" on how much they pay for Obamacare:

"As more and for families are looking for insurance options for the new Affordable Care Act, they're finding out their credit score will have a big impact on how much they pay," reports an anchor. "A lot of people want to know why credit scores are determining how much they pay."

"Well, they say it was explained to us like this: It's like buying a house or a car. Your credit score and other factors can determine your interest rate. In this case, it can determine how much you pay in premiums," the local reporter explains.

Says one Obamacare navigator: It's "so that a health insurance provider can make educated decision about who to insure based if somebody is defaulting on all their bills, they may not want to have them in part of their health plan."

Maybe? maybe Not?  Apparently an Obama Care Navigator told a news station this.... Even if the Navigator is wrong... What other FALSE information are these supposedly trained navigators passing on?

ObamaCare is such a clusterfuck, the trained navigators don't even know what the hell they are saying or doing...

Its to see if people will actually pay their bills or not. Which bill is going to be the first one put off in a tight situation??.. anything that doesnt have to do with keeping a roof over your head and food in your belly. All insurance companies care about is staying above their bottom line of profits just like any bank who gives loans out for homes and cars.
Affordable care should be making medical needs affordable. Not making people sign up with insurance companies to bend em over and take one with out a courtesy spit or let the irs bend em over if they don't do what the government wants them to do.

The bigger problem~ Even the navigators don't know what they are saying...

It would have been better (IMO) for Obama to prolong ObamaCare website debut...

The broadcast prompted conservative sites like The Weekly Standard and others to warn that credit scores would have “big impact” on insurance premiums.

But a representative from HealthCare.gov told Raw Story that the credit check during the application process was only used to verify identities and had no bearing on insurance premiums.

“Basically the eligibility requirements for keeping your monthly premiums low is based on your income,” the representative explained.

A DailyKos commenter who claimed to have been trained as an Affordable Care Act “Navigator” also said that there was no evidence to support the station’s claims.

“I have spent the last week training to be a navigator here in Illinois,” the commenter wrote. “NO WHERE in all of those 7 days of training was a credit score mentioned in any way shape or form. The whole point is to get uninsured people onto a health care plan of some kind. If people have bad credit or no job at all, our job is to find them an avenue to health care.”

In fact, one of the goals of the Affordable Care Act is to provide Americans with coverage so that they are not saddled with crippling debt when facing catastrophic medical problems.

So a paid Obama Care Navigator gave wrong information to a news station.  They later admitted they gave wrong info.  Makes you wonder what other false info these navigator asshats are telling people.

Obamacare wasn't ready to 'go live'.

Credit companies are as bad as insurance companies (mo) and I can see the government using them "delightfully"... My son was caught in a bill that wasn't his (but affected his credit) but a credit service kept sending it to him  and my son had to get an attorney.. They are like die hard bulldogs with the mentality of the IRS.."you prove it..we don't have to".. Before  "out there" spyware..where do you think the gov probably found most of it's information about people.

I wonder if Obama trained the navigators himself?
